      Connect the two ends of the Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable to the open ports on both of the Game Boy Advance consoles.

      Insert a copy of the same Game Boy Advance game into each of the devices while they are both powered off. A game cartridge is required in both of the devices for the link to work.

      Turn on both of the Game Boy Advances.

      Navigate to the multiplayer option within the game on each Game Boy Advance and follow the on-screen instructions to properly link them. Once linked, you can participate in local multiplayer gaming.
