How to Catch Groudon in Ruby

The Groudon is a legendary Pokemon character in the game "Pokemon Ruby." It is considered one of the hardest Pokemon to catch in the game. If you miss obtaining him, you have to either have one of your friends trade with you or restart your game to try again. When getting ready to battle with the Groudon, arm yourself with Pokemon characters that have special skills that will make catching him easier.

  Arm yourself with Pokemon characters that have special skills. The first character you should have is one that knows high-level hypnosis. The second should know the False Swipe move.

  Buy approximately 40 to 50 UltraBalls from the PokeMart store.

  Travel to the Cave of Origins to find the Groudon.

  Send out the Pokemon character that knows the False Swipe move first. Attack the Groudon with the False Swipe move until it only has one or two Health Points left.

  Switch your character to the one that knows high-level hypnosis. Send the Groudon to sleep using hypnosis.
- 6
  Send UltraBalls at the sleeping Groudon until it surrenders and you are able to successfully catch it.
