How to Unlock the Summoner in Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced

Job systems are commonly employed by "Final Fantasy" games but the "Final Fantasy Tactics" spin-off series refined these systems by adding more classes, abilities and combination possibilities. In "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance," also called "FFTA," there is a base set of jobs available to all races, which are human, viera, bangaa, nu mou and moogle. Players build more powerful, race-exclusive jobs by mastering various abilities. The summoner job, a viera-exclusive with access to both damaging and resurrection spells, is one of the strongest classes in the game.

  Add a viera member to your clan. This can be any character as long as they are of the viera race.

  Unlock the elementalist job by mastering one white mage and one fencer ability with the viera character. These are two of the starting jobs for the race. In "Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced," learn job abilities by equipping a specific item to the character and then accumulating enough Ability Points from battles to master the ability bestowed by that item.

  Unlock the summoner job by mastering two elementalist abilities and one more white mage ability, meaning two white mage abilities total. The summoner job is now available for that character.
