How to Find Parts in Pokemon Silver

As you follow the natural story of "Pokémon Silver," you will eventually encounter a broken magnet train. This train connects Goldenrod City and Saffron City, but you cannot use it until you have restored power to the tracks on which it runs. After a little investigating, you will discover that the Kanto Power Plant is currently disabled due to the theft of a vita machine part. Tracking the part down will be necessary to restore power to the area.

Instructions

  Travel to Cerulean City and enter the Cerulean City Gym. You will find the Machine Part thief, but he will run away before you can battle him.

  Run to Nugget Bridge, north of Cerulean City. Challenge the thief and defeat him to learn his secret -- he has hidden the Machine Part in the Cerulean City Gym.

  Return to the gym and challenge each person in the gym to battle until you have bested all of the lower-level trainers.

  Approach Misty, the gym leader of Cerulean City. Challenge her to battle and defeat her. Misty will field four water-type Pokémon, all in the mid-40s range.

  Locate the Machine Part. You will find it hidden in the center pool in the main room of the Cerulean City Gym, once the trainers have been cleared.
