How to Quit a Battle in Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for GBA

When you play the 2003 game "Final Fantasy Tactics Advance" on your Game Boy Advance or Nintendo DS, you may want to quit a battle at some point. Reasons to quit a battle include to prevent extra damage to your characters, to avoid fighting enemies who are currently stronger than your characters, or to move the game along because you're bored with fighting battle after battle. You can even quit battles on quests that require you to fight a certain number of battles. As long as you begin a battle, it counts toward your battle total for these quests.

Instructions

    • 1

Wait until it is your turn to attack. You cannot quit a battle until it's your turn. Some battles begin with your turn, but others do not.

    • 2

Hit the Start button to open the system menu.

    • 3

Move the directional on the d-pad down until your cursor highlights "Flee." Select "Flee" by pushing the A button. Your characters will quit the battle shortly thereafter.
