How to Find Chansey in Pokemon Red

Chansey, the Egg Pokemon, appears in two places late in the story of "Pokemon Red." This gentle and kind Normal-type Pokemon brings happiness wherever she goes. Although this monster is weak offensively and defensively, Chansey has a huge HP pool. This ensures that Chansey can take many hits before fainting and is healthy enough to outlast many opponents. Notoriously hard to come by, Chansey eludes many Pokemon Trainers who don't know where to look for her.

  Beat the Elite Four at the end of "Pokemon Red" to gain access to the Cerulean Cave, found north of Cerulean City.

  Explore the second and basement levels of the Cerulean Cave to randomly encounter wild Chansey.

  Enter a safari challenge in Fuchsia City's Safari Zone Pokemon preserve. The Safari Zone holds many exotic and rare Pokemon.
- 4
  Walk in the grass found in Sections 1 and 3 of the Safari Zone to find wild Chansey. Throw bait and rocks at Chansey to make her easier to capture, and then use a Safari Ball to catch her.
