How Do I Catch Zapdos in Pokemon LeafGreen?

Zapdos is a legendary Electric- and Flying-type Pokemon introduced in the first-generation "Red," "Blue" and "Yellow" games. Its name is derived from "zap" and "dos," the Spanish word for "two." Zapdos excels in Special Attack and Speed, having the highest Special Attack of all Electric-type Pokemon in the third-generation "Ruby," "Sapphire," "Emerald, "FireRed" and "LeafGreen" games. Like its counterparts Articuno and Moltres, Zapdos is difficult to capture, but doing so will greatly boost the strength of a player's team.

Instructions

  Defeat Koga in the Fuschia City Gym to enable your Pokemon to use "Surf" on the field. Obtain HM03 (Surf) from the Secret House in the Safari Zone, and teach it to one of your Pokemon.

  Fly to the Pokemon Center near the Rock Tunnel. Head north to find a river. Use "Surf" and follow the river's path to reach the Power Plant.

  Enter the Power Plant and follow the straightforward path to reach Zapdos. Save the game and engage Zapdos in battle.

  Lower Zapdos' HP into the red zone and inflict it with Paralysis or Sleep. Throw Ultra Balls at Zapdos until it is caught.
