How to Raise Pokémon to 60 in Pokémon Emerald

In "Pokémon Emerald," leveling up your Pokémon to a high level is important if you want to beat the entire game. Without high-leveled Pokémon, you won't be able to beat the Elite Four and Wallace, the Pokémon League Champion. Many players vow to raise their Pokémon to level 60 before attempting to beat Wallace, but they sometimes have trouble getting their Pokémon past level 50. To raise your Pokémon to 60, there are a few different approaches you can take.

Instructions

    • 1

Find at least one Lucky Egg by capturing Wild Chansey in "Pokémon FireRed" or "LeafGreen." Once you find a Chansey that is holding a Lucky Egg, trade it to "Pokémon Emerald." Attach the Lucky Egg to the Pokémon you want to train to level 60. The Lucky Egg will increase the amount of Experience Points the Pokémon gains after battle by 1.5.

    • 2

Trade the Pokémon to a trusted friend, and have him trade it back to you. After battling with your traded Pokémon, you will find that it receives 1.5 times more Experience Points than it used to receive. For example, if your Pokémon used to receive 500 Experience Points by fighting a Mudkip, it will now receive 750 Experience Points.

    • 3

Fight Gabby and Ty using the Pokémon you want to train and a strong Water-type Pokémon that knows Surf. After you fight these two news reporters for the first time, they will constantly want to battle. You must go to a different route each time you wish to fight them.

    • 4

Interact with any red Poké Balls that you find in routes or cities. Sometimes, these Poké Balls contain Rare Candies. If you give your Pokémon one Rare Candy, it will immediately gain enough experience to move up to the next level.

    • 5

Walk through the grass and fight every trainer you see. Although the constant fighting may get tiresome, the more battles your Pokémon get into, the more Experience Points they will gain. Focus on fighting Pokémon that provide a high amount of experience points, such as Blissey.
