How to Reset Pokemon HeartGold

"Pokemon Heartgold," another entry in the "Pokemon" franchise for the Nintendo DS, gives players the option to reset the game and start over. Players are asked to reset the game's Pokewalker function before resetting the entire game itself. The Pokewalker acts as a pedometer after getting to a certain point in the game's story. Both resets require a sequence of buttons on the correct menu in the game. After resetting both, players can create a new character and begin their conquest once again.

     Choose "Connect to Pokewalker" at the game's main menu. Hold "Down" and "X" plus "L" to reset the Pokewalker.

     Press the "A" button to confirm the Pokewalk reset when prompted. Reset the Nintendo DS console using the corresponding button on the side of the device.

     Press "Up," "Select" and "B" simultaneously at the title screen to reset the game. Confirm the decision when prompted with the "A" button.
