How to Catch Chansey in SoulSilver

The Normal-type Pokemon Chansey is one of the original 151 Pokemon. Chansey and its evolved form, Blissey, are the only Pokemon capable of learning the Softboiled technique. This coveted technique allows Chansey to heal teammates during battle without the aid of items. Chansey can be found in "Pokemon SoulSilver" in three ways.

  Wander in the grass in Routes 13, 14 and 15. Chansey can be encountered like any other Pokemon in the grass along these three Routes, but note that Chansey's appearance rate in grass is very low.

  Visit the Safari Zone West of Cianwood City. Perform tasks for the Safari Zone Warden, and he will allow you to place objects in the park to customize it. Customizing the Safari Zone will add to the number of Pokemon found in the park. Place 12 objects in the Plains Area to lure Chansey out of hiding.

  Check Professor Oak's Talk Show on your PokeGear's radio function every day. Each day Professor Oak will announce a new Pokemon Swarm. Pokemon that are otherwise rare or unavailable become common in certain areas while swarming. Chansey is a possible Swarm for Route 13.
