How to Catch Scizor in Platinum

Scizor is a Bug-/Steel-type Pokemon in the Pokemon game series. Scizor is a powerful Pokemon in any party because of its high attack rating and type resistances. Although it gains a 4x weakness to Fire, it makes up for this with 1/2 resistances to eight other attack types, as well as a 1/4 resistance to Grass and full immunity to Poison. In "Pokemon Platinum," you can capture a Scizor by evolving a Scyther.

Instructions

- 1
  Capture a Scyther. Scyther can be found while wandering in Routes 210 and 215, most commonly in the morning.

  Find a Steel Coat, a held item that can be found on the Iron Island. Steel Coats are sometimes held by wild Pokemon of the Steel type, such as Steelix, Magnemite, Beldum and Bronzor and their evolved forms.

  Equip your Scyther with the Steel Coat and trade it to another player. When the other player receives your Scyther, it will evolve into Scizor.
- 4
  Trade Scizor back into your game.
