How to Catch Remoraid in Crystal

"Pokemon Crystal" was released for the Game Boy Color in 2001. Remoraid, a water-type Pokemon first introduced in "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver," is weak against electric and grass types, but strong against fire and rock types. Remoraid only be caught in one place in "Pokemon Crystal." To catch a Remoraid, you will need the Super Rod, which is given to you at the fisherman's house on Route 12.

  Travel to Blackthorn City.

  Exit Blackthorn City from the southern exit to reach Route 44.

  Stand next to any body of water.

  Press "Start" and select "Bag."

  Select "Super Rod" to begin fishing. Press "A" when you are informed of a bite on your hook to battle a wild Pokemon. If the Pokemon is not Remoraid, continue fishing until Remoraid appears.

  Use a combination of attack moves and status-altering moves on Remoraid to weaken him. Once he has been sufficiently weakened, use your strongest Pokeball to catch him.
