How to Find Happiny

Finding Happiny in the Wild in "Pokémon Diamond," "Pearl" and "Platinum"

  Travel along Route 212 and make your way to the back of the Pokémon Mansion found here to reach an area known as Trophy Garden.

  Save your game and then speak to the man in the garden, whose name is Mr. Backlot. He will tell you about the Pokémon that can be found in the garden. If he doesn't mention Happiny, reset the DS, load your game file and speak to Mr. Backlot again. Repeat doing this until he mentions Happiny.

  Catch a Happiny with a Poké Ball when you encounter one in the garden.

Finding a Happiny Egg in "Pokémon Diamond" and "Pearl"

  Travel to Hearthome city and defeat your rival there. Leave a space in your party after the battle.

  Speak to the hiker found to the right of the gate of the city. He will give you a Happiny egg.

  Walk around with the egg in your party; after awhile, it will hatch and you will get a Happiny.

Finding a Happiny Egg in "Pokémon HeartGold" and "SoulSilver"

  Travel to the Safari Zone and catch a Chansey. You can also find Chansey along Routes 13, 14 and 15.

  Travel to Vermillion City and use the "Surf" ability near the dock. Follow the beach until you reach an area that has a Luck Incense item on it. You need this item to breed the Chansey and get a Happiny.

  Travel to the Day Care near Goldenrod City. Give the Luck Incense to the Chansey to hold. Put the Chansey in the Day Care, along with a Ditto, and keep checking back for an egg.

  Place the egg in your party once you receive it from the Day Care. Walk around with it so it can hatch. Once it hatches, you will have a Happiny.
