How to Get Lift in Golden Sun: The Lost Age

As in previous versions of the "Golden Sun" franchise, you must have the Lifting Jewel in order to use the Lift ability in "Golden Sun: The Lost Age." Although there are many treasures to be found using the ability early on in the game, you do not gain the ability until quite late in the game -- after completing the Jupiter Lighthouse area. The only way to get the Lifting Jewel is to have Isaac and his team join forces with you.

Instructions

  Play through the game until you get to the Jupiter Lighthouse. Go through this level until you find Isaac, Garet, Ivan and Mia, who fans may recognize as the original party from the first "Golden Sun" game. Speak with them to see the scene.

  Watch the scene and Agatio and Karst will appear. Watch the fight begin and then Kraden will suggest that you should help. Head to the north through three rooms, go to the next room over, then head north again. Jump to the platform to the right, use Reveal, then go up the stairs. Jump to the right, go south, then jump to the left and slide down. Head left and climb the ladder.

  Meet Alex, who heals your party, then exit the room through the door to the south. Watch the scene, then go north back to the room where Alex was. Go north again, then jump across the platform. Head south and continue along the linear path until you get to the lighthouse aerie.

  Walk up to the beacon and, when prompted, ignite it. Battle Agatio and Karst. You do not have to win this battle in order for the game to continue. Watch the scene and go to the elevator to the west. When you disembark from the elevator, follow the linear path to exit the lighthouse and view the world map.

  Head south along the path from the lighthouse to get to Contigo. Go to the northwest to get to a house on a ledge. Watch the scene and Isaac, Garet, Ivan and Mia join your party. You also receive the Lifting Jewel, which allows you to use Lift.
