How to Get Mudkip in Ruby

"Pokemon Ruby" and "Pokemon Sapphire" are the third iterations of the Pokemon series created by Nintendo. They were released for the Game Boy Advance together in 2002. Unlike previous games, you no longer get the option to pick a Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle as your starter Pokemon. In this version, you can select Treecko, Torchic or Mudkip. This is the only time in the game you can select one of these three Pokemon.

Instructions

     Put the "Pokemon Ruby" cartridge into your Game Boy Advance.

     Turn on the Game Boy Advance and start a new game.

   • 3

     Play through the beginning, naming your character and being sent to the lab to pick a Pokemon.

   • 4

     Walk up to the center Pokeball and press "A." Confirm that you want to take Mudkip.
