How to Get the Cerulean Badge in Pokémon HeartGold

"Pokémon HeartGold" shares more than a few similarities with the original Pokémon games. In addition to revisiting the old routes and paths, you'll also encounter the original gym leaders, including Misty from Cerulean City. In "Pokémon HeartGold," however, Misty is significantly stronger than she was in the original games. She's also missing from the Cerulean Gym. Fortunately, you can find her on a nearby route. After defeating her, she will give you the Cascade Badge from Cerulean Gym.

Instructions

  Visit Cerulean City in the Kanto region. Cerulean City is located on route 9, which is just north of both Saffron City and Lavender Town.

  Venture into the gym, which is the building located in the middle of the map. Immediately when you go inside, a member of Team Rocket will talk to you and flee. Leave the gym and walk straight up to route 24. You'll encounter the Team Rocket character again, and he'll attempt to battle you. After defeating him, continue on the Route 24 path, and eventually you'll reach Route 25. The path turns to the right.

  Talk to the girl standing beside a house on Route 25. The girl will reveal herself to be the gym leader Misty. After talking to her, she will disappear. Retrace your steps back to Cerulean City. Go back into the gym.

  Defeat Misty by talking to her and battling her Pokémon. Her Pokémon range from level 49 to 54. Once you defeat her, she will present you with the Cascade Badge.
