How to Find Sandshrew in FireRed

In "Pokémon FireRed," there are some Pokémon you cannot find in the wild. Sandshrew is one of these Pokémon; you can only catch him in "Pokémon LeafGreen." To get him in "Pokémon FireRed," you must trade him from "Pokémon LeafGreen." Sandshrew is a ground-type Pokémon who evolves into Sandslash at level 22. He is weak against ice, grass and water-type Pokémon, and most of his attacks are ineffective against flying Pokémon. However, Sandshrew is extremely effective against electric, fire, poison, rock and steel-type Pokémon.

• Two Game Boy Advances
• "Pokémon LeafGreen"
• Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable

     Connect both Game Boys by using the Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable.

     Travel to a Pokémon Center on both Game Boys; you can find a Pokémon Center in any town.

     Walk upstairs and speak to the woman behind the desk, all the way to the right. Do this on both Game Boys.

     Select "Trade Center" on both Game Boys.

     Select "Yes" to save your game.

     Select "Sandshrew" from the copy of "Pokémon LeafGreen." Select any Pokémon from your copy of "Pokémon FireRed."

     Select "Trade." You will now have a Sandshrew on your copy of "Pokémon FireRed."
