How to Get Torchic in Soul Silver

"Pokemon SoulSilver" is the counterpart to "Pokemon HeartGold." Both games are strikingly similar to the original "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver" games, as the names imply. While the graphics received an update, and a handful of new bells and whistles were added, "SoulSilver" is essentially the same game as "Pokemon Silver." One of the new additions to "SoulSilver" that the original "Silver" did not include is the option to own Torchic, a Pokemon from the "Emerald," "Ruby" and "Sapphire" games.

Instructions

  Visit Pokemon trainer "Red." Red is stationed on Mount Silver. Mount Silver is blocked until you defeat the 16 gym masters.

  Talk to Red to engage in a battle. Defeat Red's Pokemon. After defeating Red, the game will appear to end. Eventually, your game screen returns and you progress further along.

  Go to Saffron City. The easiest way to get to Saffron City after you defeat Red is to take the eastern path to Viridian City, north to Pewter City, east to Cerulean City and finally south to Saffron City.

  Enter the Silph Co. Headquarters, which is the largest building in Saffron city, located in the center of the city. Talk to Steven Stone inside the building. He will give you the option of choosing one of three colored stones. Select the red stone to acquire Torchic.
