How to Catch Deoxys in LeafGreen Without Cheats

The tremendously strong Deoxys is a unique Pokémon that is difficult to find in "Pokémon: LeafGreen" on the Game Boy Advance without using a cheating device to aid your search. As the only Pokémon from outer space, Deoxys is an especially rare creature that Pokémon fans often crave to add to their collections. A mutated space virus, Deoxys transforms its body into several tactical forms to raise its speed, attack and defense capabilities. Obtaining one of these monsters takes both luck and skill in "Pokémon: LeafGreen."

  Check the official Pokémon website regularly to learn about upcoming video game item giveaways. To go to the island home of Deoxys, you will need the Aurora Ticket item, and Nintendo only distributes it through special events. Attend the event and download the Aurora Ticket for "Pokemon LeafGreen."

  Take the Aurora Ticket to the ship yard in Lily Cove City and present it to the woman standing beside the passenger ship. You can now take the ship to Birth Island.

  Solve the triangle stone puzzle to make Deoxys appear. If you touch the stone, it will warp to another place on the tiny island. To beat the puzzle, you have to walk to the stone using as few steps as possible. Continue touching the teleporting triangle until it turns bright red. Deoxys will float down from the sky in its Defense Forme.

  Save the game and walk up to Deoxys to engage it in a battle. Weaken it until its health meter is in the red zone and throw Ultra Balls at Deoxys to capture it. If you have a Master Ball, you can catch Deoxys instantly by using it. Have your Pokémon use moves that cause debilitating effects, such as Freeze and Sleep, to make Deoxys easier to catch.
