How to Get the Third Badge in Pokemon Sapphire

"Pokemon Sapphire" was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. The objective of the game is to defeat all eight gym leaders to obtain their badges and become champion of the Pokemon league. Wattson, the third gym leader, must be defeated to obtain the Dynamo Badge. Wattson uses electric/steel Pokemon, but before you can face him, you must navigate his gym.

Instructions

  Travel to Mauville City.

  Enter the Mauville Gym. It is a large building to the left of the Pokemon Center with "Gym" written on a signpost outside.

  Step on the first switch directly in front of you. The gym is a maze with electric currents blocking you. Stepping on the switches changes the direction of the currents, opening new passageways. Defeat the Pokemon trainer who will battle you once you have stepped on the switch.

  Step on the switch at the end of the newly opened passageway to change the currents again. Defeat the trainer who will challenge you in front of the switch.

  Navigate the currents to step on the switch at the far left side of the maze. Defeat any trainers you encounter along the way. Stepping on the switch makes the path to Wattson available.

  Use ground or fire Pokemon against Wattson. Ground Pokemon are strong against Electric types, while Fire Pokemon are strong against Steel types.

  Use any healing items, such as Super Potions, if your Pokemon's health is low.
- 8
  Defeat Wattson's three Pokemon to receive the third gym badge. He will give it to you when he is defeated.
