How to Use Fossils in FireRed

Fossils are key items found in "Pokemon" games. When presented to the correct character, fossils transform into ancient Pokemon that players can raise and use in battle. Players can obtain two fossils in "Pokemon FireRed" and "LeafGreen." Players are guaranteed access to the Old Amber, but must choose between the Dome Fossil and Helix Fossil. These fossils can be transformed into Aerodactyl, Kabuto, and Omanyte, respectively.

     Fly to Cinnabar Island and enter the Pokemon Laboratory to the left of the Pokemon Center. Enter the third room from the left.

     Talk to the scientist standing next to the machine. Select the fossil you wish to revive from the menu and exit the building.

     Deposit Pokemon into a storage box to make room in your party. Enter the Pokemon Laboratory again and talk to the scientist to obtain a level-5 Pokemon revived from your fossil.
