How to Get a Shiny Onix in Fire Red

"Pokemon FireRed" is a role-playing game released for the Game Boy Advance in which players collect creatures known as "Pokemon" for the purposes of breeding, training and battling. A rare variety of Pokemon, referred to as "Shiny Pokemon," has a different color scheme from regular Pokemon of the same type and is highly sought-after by collectors. If you wish to find a shiny version of the large stone Pokemon, Onix, it may take a lot of work.

     Begin the game and go to the cave area in the Rock Tunnel or Sevault Canyon locations.

   • 2

     Walk around the cave and look for wild Pokemon to battle. Look for an Onix that is colored gold, rather than gray. If you do not find this Onix, run away from the battle and keep looking.

     Attack the gold Onix with light attacks and throw Poke balls at it until you catch it. Make sure you do not kill the Onix or you will not be able to catch it.
