How to Breed a Scyther in Leaf Green

"Pokemon: Leaf Green" was released for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. The game is a remake of the old Game Boy titles "Pokemon: Red" and "Pokemon: Blue," released in 1996. Even though the game is a remake, it included some of the features of the later Pokemon games, such as the day care center. In the day care center, a male and a female Pokemon can breed to make new Pokemon. For example, you can breed your Scyther in the day care center to create more Scythers.

Instructions

  Travel to the day care center on Island #4.

  Speak to the woman inside the day care center. She will ask for two Pokemon to breed.

  Select a female Scyther and any male bug Pokemon. The Scyther must be female, as the Pokemon that is bred from two Pokemon will be of the same type as the Mother.

  Leave the day care center and walk a total of 256 steps around the game world. When this is complete, return to the day care center and speak to the woman inside to receive an egg.

  Walk a total of 6,400 steps with the egg in your Pokemon lineup. When the amount of steps has been reached, the egg will automatically hatch into a Scyther. The Scyther hatched by the egg starts at Level 5.
