How to Evolve Riolu in Pokemon Pearl

Riolu is a Fighting-type Pokemon introduced in the fourth-generation Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum series. Players can only acquire Riolu by hatching an egg given by Riley on Iron Mountain. Like Eevee and Budew, Riolu evolves by leveling up in the daytime with a happiness value of at least 220. Riolu's evolved form Lucario is a Fighting and Steel-type Pokemon with excellent Attack and Special Attack, and the ability to learn a wide variety of moves.

Instructions

  Give the Soothe Bell to Riolu. Battle trainers with the Amulet Coin or sell your unneeded items, and use the income to purchase vitamins to feed to Riolu.

  Give Riolu a massage at Veilstone City whenever possible. Avoid feeding Riolu bitter food such as the Revival Herb or letting it faint in battle.
- 3
  Repeat steps 1 and 2 until two large hearts appear next to Riolu in the Poketch's Happiness Checker. Raise Riolu one level during the daytime to evolve it into Lucario.
