How to Hatch Eggs Faster in Pokemon FireRed

Breeding has been a key feature of Pokemon gameplay since "Gold," "Silver" and "Crystal." It allows players to endow newly hatched Pokemon with attacks they would be unable to acquire otherwise. Breeding is also the only way to obtain certain pre-evolved Pokemon, such as Pichu, Cleffa, Magby, Elekid, and Smoochum. The number of steps required to hatch an egg varies among species, ranging from 1,000 to roughly 10,000. In "Pokemon FireRed," players can take several measures to hasten the hatching process.

  Put a Pokemon with either the Flame Body or Magma Armor ability in your party to halve the number of steps required to hatch eggs. These Pokemon include Magmar, Slugma, and Magcargo.

  Defeat Misty at the Cerulean Gym and head south through the robbed house to Vermilion City. Enter the Pokemon Fan Club building and speak with the chairman to obtain a Bike Voucher.

  Return to Cerulean City and enter the Bike Shop. Give the Bike Voucher to the vendor to obtain the Bicycle. Ride the Bicycle down Cycling Road repeatedly until the eggs hatch.
