How to Beat Pike Queen Lucy

Pike Queen Lucy is the Frontier Brain of the Battle Pike in "Pokemon Emerald." To battle her, players must choose three Pokemon and brave the Battle Pike Challenge, which includes difficult single- and double-trainer battles, encounters with high-level wild Pokemon, and various status afflictions hidden behind the curtains of the Pike's many rooms. Players can battle Pike Queen Lucy twice; once for the Silver Luck Symbol, and once for the Gold Luck Symbol.

Instructions

Defeating Pike Queen Lucy for the Silver Luck Symbol

  Go to the Battle Pike. Talk to the receptionist and accept the Battle Pike Challenge. Progress through 28 consecutive rooms to battle Pike Queen Lucy.

  Defeat Seviper with a powerful Psychic or Ground-type move, preferably the 90-damage Psychic or the 100-damage Earthquake. Use Roar or Whirlwind to swap Milotic for Shuckle, and take advantage of Shuckle's lack of offensive power to boost your Pokemon's attacking stats with moves such as Swords Dance and Calm Mind.

  Attack Shuckle with one or two boosted attacks to defeat it. Hit Milotic with a powerful boosted Physical Attack such as Earthquake, or a super-effective Special Attack such as Thunderbolt to defeat Lucy and obtain the Silver Luck Symbol.
Defeating Pike Queen Lucy for the Gold Luck Symbol

  Go to the Battle Pike. Talk to the receptionist and accept the Battle Pike Challenge. Progress through 140 consecutive rooms to battle Pike Queen Lucy.

  Defeat Seviper with a powerful Psychic or Ground-type move, preferably the 90-damage Psychic or the 100-damage Earthquake. Quickly defeat Gyarados with an Electric-type move. Switch Pokemon if necessary.

  Hit Steelix with one or two Fire or Water-type attacks. Boosted Fighting and Ground-type attacks are also effective. Knock out Steelix to defeat Lucy and obtain the Gold Luck Symbol.
