How to Get Through Victory Road in Pokemon Pearl

At the end of each Pokemon game, your Pokemon trainer must face an elite group of trainers called the Elite Four. Located in the Pokemon League, these battles determine if you will become a Pokemon master. In Pokemon Pearl, players have a daunting test to complete before entering the Pokemon League. Victory Road is a intricate cave filled with advanced Pokemon trainers. Navigate the cave and defeat the Pokemon trainers within the pass through Victory Road.

Instructions

  Advance north from the entrance and cross the bridge. Climb down the wall past the bridge using the "Rock Climb" move. Head to the left after reaching the bottom to face Psychic Bruce.

  Defeat Psychic Bruce in a duel. Psychic Bruce uses Haunter (LV. 43), Gengar (LV. 46) and Alakazam (LV. 46) in the duel. Defeat the Pokemon effectively by using Dark-type attacks, poison-based attacks or electrical paralysis. After Psychic Bruce is defeated, head down the stairs next to Bruce and loop around the cave in a clockwise direction. Bird Keeper Hana is the next trainer you'll face.

  Beat Bird Keeper Hanna in a Pokemon battle. Bird Keeper Hanna uses two bird Pokemon: Noctowl (LV. 46) and Staraptor (LV. 48). Defeat those two Pokemon using electric, rock or ice-based attacks. After the battle head north across the next bridge. Climb down the platform using Rock Climb and head left.

  Travel throughout the rest of Victory Road. The rest of the journey occurs along a defined pathway. Follow the road until you reach the end of Victory Road. You have the opportunity to face several trainers along the path, including Ace Trainer Mariah, Veteran Clayton, Al, Kay, Black Belt Miles, Psychic Valencia and Dragon Tamer Ondrej. Face these trainers by walking up to them or avoid them by walking out of their sightline.

  Defeat the final trainer in Victory Road. At the end of the Victory Road cave is Dragon Tamer Clinton. He uses two Gible (LV. 46) and one Gyarados (LV. 49). Dragon Pokemon are most susceptible to ice and electric attacks. Use one of these to attacks to swiftly defeat Clinton. After the duel, you will be granted access to the Pokemon League to face the Elite Four.
