How to Catch a Tauros in Pokemon: FireRed

"Pokemon: FireRed" was released for the GameBoy Advance in 2004. "FireRed" is a remake of "Pokemon Red," released for the original GameBoy, and features the original 150 Pokemon, including Tauros. While you can catch many Pokemon out in the wild, some Pokemon like Tauros may only be caught under special circumstances, such as playing at the Safari Zone.

Instructions

  Travel east from Fuschia City, following the path. Travel north when the path splits and enter the large building in front of you, which is the Safari Zone.

  Speak to the man behind the counter and pay $500 to enter the Safari Zone.

  Travel the path on the left side of the starting area to go to Area 3.

  Walk in the tall grass in Area 3 to find a Tauros. Tauros is a rare Pokemon and it may take several minutes to find one. Be aware that you are only allowed 600 steps in the Safari Zone before you must leave, at which point you will need to pay another $500 and enter again.

  Throw your Safari Balls at Tauros to capture him. When he is captured, he will be given to you at the end of the Safari Zone game when your steps are up.
