Beating Aaron
Use a flying-type Pokemon or elementals like fire, ice, electricity and rock to take out his four bug-types.
Finish off Aaron's final character, Drapion, using the Pokemon with the strongest attack abilities.
Heal your Pokemon and move on to the next Elite.
Beating Bertha
Select a grass-type Pokemon or one with the "Surf" ability.
Take out all of Bertha's ground and rock-types using your grass-type or "Surf" capable Pokemon.
Recover any health you can and challenge the next Elite.
Beating Flint
Beat Flint's fire-type Pokemon, Rapidash and Infernape, as well as the steel-type Steelix, with a water-type Pokemon.
Use a strong-attack Pokemon to beat Lopunny.
Defeat Drifblim using any type of Pokemon, but preferably an electric-type or a ghost-type.
Heal your Pokemon and go challenge Lucian.
Beating Lucien
Battle Lucien's psychic-types with Pokemon that have any dark-type abilities.
Take on the powerful Bronzong using a fire-type, preferably with the Flamethrower ability.
Replenish your health one last time before taking on the Pokemon Champion.
Beating Cynthia
Fight Spiritomb using any powerful attacks you have, as this Pokemon has no specific weaknesses.
Beat Roserade with psychic, fire or ice attacks, and use a grass-type Pokemon against Gastrodon.
Refrain from using special attacks on Milotic when it casts Mirror Coat, as it will reflect those special attacks back at your Pokemon. Use a Pokemon of your own that also has non-special attacks.
Attack Lucario with fire attacks. Don't use any poison attacks because it is invulnerable to poison.
Keep your Pokemon's health up when fighting Garchomp, who can defeat your characters in two turns. Use toxic attacks or go into battle with a flying Pokemon that has the Ice Beam ability.
