How to Beat Cherubimon in Digimon Battle Spirit 2

The Game Boy Advance video game, Digimon Battle Spirit 2, is a popular action game for fans of the franchise. The difficulty level of the game is noteworthy, with "IGN" magazine citing the boss fight with Cherubimon as one of the most difficult boss battles on the Game Boy Advance. The key in the game is to win essential battles in order to gain enough experience, collectibles and items, all of which help in the final battle with Cherubimon. Keep in mind also which of eight characters you play as on Digimon Battle Spirit 2, because each character has a different strategy to fight Cherubimon.

Instructions

Agunimon
- 1
  Jump to one of the four ledges that appear on the screen.

  Jump in the air and press "B" when Cherubimon is coming toward you at the ledges. This hits Cherubimon on its head.

  Maintain this attack strategy throughout the fight. Cherubimon disappears and reappears at several points in the battle to inflict a thunderbolt attack. Stay on or under the ledges and jump away from Cherubimon when it comes at you.
Beetlemon

  Jump to the highest ledges on the screen.

  Press "Down" and "B" simultaneously when Cheribumon comes toward you on the top ledges.

  Jump in the air and press "B" to hit Cherubimon.
Lobomon

  Follow Cherubimon's every move. If Cherubimon moves toward the top right or left ledges, quickly run to those areas to attack it.

  Fill your power gauge as quickly as possible. Lobomon is not considered a fast character in the game, so filling the energy gauge by attacking Cherubimon as much as you can will unleash stronger attacks.

  Use Lobomon's main attack. Press the "Up" button and hit "B," which is Lobomon's main weapon. Maintain this strategy throughout the fight.
Lowemon

  Jump to highest level ledges. Stay in this general area the entire fight.

  Attack with your lance weapon each time Cherubimon comes near you.

  Wait for your gauge to fill up and power up against Cherubimon.
Kumamon

  Us the "Up" button and "B" button attack throughout the fight.

  Collect all gold diamonds that fall from Cherubimon. The gold diamonds help Kumamon power up.

  Use your gauge power when Cherubimon turns bright orange.
Kazemon

  Use Kazemon's double jump ability. Double jump occurs when you press "A" twice. This helps lure Cherubimon toward you while evading it quickly.

  Head toward the highest ledges on the screen and use the "Up" button and "B" button attack.

  Wait until your gauge is filled and Cherubimon turns bright orange.
ExLobomon

  Stay on the low-level ledges. You are able to quickly attack Cherubimon on the low-level ledges.

  Use the top-level ledges when Cherubimon is in the air. Perform the jump and "B" attack.

  Use your full gauge as soon as you can. Build up the gauge by continuing to attack Cherubimon on the low levels.
ExAguninom

  Collect all gold diamonds that may appear during the fight.

  Hit Cherubimon a few times to fill up your gauge. Use your gauge power as soon as possible.

  Perform "Up" or "Down" button and "B" button attack combination.
