"Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors"
Infogrames released "Dragon Ball Z: Legendary Super Warriors" exclusively for the portable Game Boy Color system in November 2002. "Legendary Super Warriors" was also developed and created by Infogrames, and it is rated acceptable for gamers of all ages. Players must collect different Dragon Ball cards throughout the game and prepare decks to use in battles. Decks are made up of multiple card types which must each be used in specific situations. Players progress through the game's levels by winning battles, and cards can be traded with others to create complete decks.
Winning Battles
Aside from advancing in the game, "Legendary Super Warriors" players also unlock characters when they win certain battles. Players unlock Android 17 once they beat him using Android 20. To unlock Recoome, players must beat him using Goku. To get Guldo, players must defeat him while fighting as Krillin. Cell Jr. is unlocked by players who defeat him as the Perfect Cell character. To unlock Nappa, players have to beat him in a fight using Piccolo. Players unlock both Burter and Jeice once they use Goku to defeat each of them in battle.
Losing and Attempting Battles
Many characters in the game are also unlocked when players lose or attempt certain battles. These characters can then be used in future games. To unlock Trunks as a character, players must lose a battle against Trunks while playing as Goten. Players unlock Piccolo-Kami once they lose as the character in the Cell battle. To unlock Gohan as an adult character, players must fight against Evil Buu using any character in the game. To get Android 16, players must use Goku in battles against Android 16 and Android 18. Android 18 is unlocked by using Krillin as the first fighter against Android 16 and Android 18.
