How to Get Regirock, Regice & Registeel in Pokemon Pearl

The "Regi" pokemon, the set of legendary Pokemon who include Regirock, Registeel and Regice, are not actually part of the Nintendo DS Pokemon Pearl game. Obtain these Pokemon with specific actions in one or all of the Game Boy Advance Pokemon gem series games: Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire or Pokemon Emerald. You cannot catch the legendary Pokemon from previous incarnations of Pokemon games within the Pokemon Pearl game at all unless you migrate them from other Pokemon games.

Things You'll Need

Nintendo DS
Pokemon Ruby, Pokemon Sapphire or Pokemon Emerald GBA cartridge in which Regirock, Regice and Registeel have been captured

Instructions

Importing Pokemon into Pearl

  Turn off the Nintendo DS. Place the Pokemon Pearl DS cartridge into the cartridge slot.

  Place the GBA Pokemon cartridge (Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald) in the GBA cartridge slot on the face of the DS system.

  Turn the DS system on and select the "Pokemon Diamond" option to begin the game.

  Select the option "Migrate From GBA" by using the directional pad to highlight the choice, then pressing "Yes" to confirm.

  Select the Pokemon you are migrating with the touchscreen: Regirock, Registeel and Regice. Select "yes" to confirm.
Capturing The Imported Pokemon

  Power the DS system off. Remove the GBA cartridge from the DS, leaving the Pokemon Pearl cartridge inserted.

  Battle the Pokemon League. Win that battle to get the National Pokedex, which you need to access Pal Park. Proceed to Pal Park, slightly outside of Sandgem town.

  Walk into Pal Park. Roam around the park. The encounter with the Regis is not a timed one, so you may be engaged in battle with them at any time.

  Battle the Regi Pokemon. Weaken the Pokemon with attacks until their health points are low, taking care not to defeat them completely since live capture is the objective. Throw poke balls to capture the Pokemon.
