How to Evolve Scyther to Scizor

Scizor is the evolved form of the Scyther Pokemon that can only be caught in the "Pokemon Fire Red" version of the game. You will need to have beaten the Elite Four and have access to Five Island to find the special item that launches the Pokemon evolution. Because the Scyther only evolves when you trade the Pokemon to another game system, you will also need to have a second Game Boy Advanced system and another copy of a Pokemon game. You can also enlist a trusted friend who has a Pokemon game to help you.

Things You'll Need

Two Game Boy Advanced Systems
Two Pokemon games
Game Boy Advanced link cable

Instructions

- 1
  Use the "Fly" ability to travel to Five Island.

  Use the "Surf" ability to surf the ocean east of Five Island to the Memorial Pillar.

  Surf south from the Memorial Pillar until you find a path on land.

  Follow the path until you find an area with an old man and a grave stone.

  Collect the item ball near the old man to receive the "Metal Coat" item.

  Give the "Metal Coat" item to your Scyther Pokemon.

  Connect your Game Boy Advanced to a second system using the Game Boy Advance link cable.

  Trade the Scyther Pokemon to the Pokemon game on the second Game Boy Advanced system. When you trade the Scyther while it is holding the "Metal Coat" item, the Scyther will evolve into Scizor on the second system.

  Trade the Scizor back to your original Game Boy Advanced system to place it in your game.
