How to Catch Lugia in Pokemon Ruby Version?

Lugia is a legendary Pokemon with powerful wind abilities. While it is possible to obtain Lugia in the Game Boy Advance game "Pokemon Ruby Version," it cannot be caught in the wild. Instead, you will have to obtain Lugia in "Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness," a game for the Nintendo GameCube, and then trade it to "Pokemon Ruby Version" for a less desirable Pokemon.

Instructions

  In "Pokemon XD," capture Shadow Lugia during the boss battle against Grand Master Greevil by using a Master Ball.

  Beat "Pokemon XD." This is a prerequisite for performing trades with Game Boy Advance Pokemon games.

  Acquire Maximum Tempo for every set in your Purity Chamber and place Shadow Lugia in one of the sets. Shadow Lugia should be instantly purified and ready for trade.

  Go to the Pokemon Center in "Pokemon Ruby Version," then save your game and turn off your Game Boy Advance.

  Go to the Trade Center in "Pokemon XD" and tell the person at the desk that you want to make a trade. Select "Yes" when asked whether or not to save.

  Use your link cable to connect your Game Boy Advance to your GameCube's second controller socket. Turn on your Game Boy Advance.

  Select your Lugia for trade to "Pokemon Ruby Version."

  Wait for the transfer to take place.
