How to Pass Lilycove City

In the "Pokemon Emerald" game for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance gamers play as a trainer of pokemon creatures on a journey to stop Team Aqua and Team Magma. Players must travel along paths to find and catch wild pokemon. Players also must battle against trainers in each town to earn badges and advance in the game. For example, the player must defeat trainer May and complete other tasks within Lillycove City in order to move to the next area, the Safari Zone.

Instructions

  Go to the Pokemon Center when you reach Lilycove City to charge the health of your pokemon and then move east of the center where you'll encounter trainer May.

  Defeat May in the battle using grass and fire type pokemon and enter the Lilycove Department Store. Explore the five floors of the store if you want to purchase extra items, like health potions, but it's not necessary.

  Walk into the Lilycove Museum and talk to the curator, who will show you six different canvases and invite you to enter a contest.

  Leave the museum and move south until you reach two houses. Go into the house on the left and talk to the move tutor about teaching one of your pokemon a new move. You don't have to learn a new move, but you must talk to the move tutor.

  Leave the house and move down Route 121 until you reach the Safari Zone. You will then be past Lilycove City.
