How to Get to Mirage Island in Emerald

Mirage Island is a secret location in Pokemon Emerald located on Route 130. Since the appearance of Mirage Island depends on a randomly generated number that must be in sync with a randomly generated number on one of the Pokemon in your party, the chances of actually finding Mirage Island are very slim. Each day Mirage Island&'s number changes, and the random number assigned to your Pokemon changes each time they&'re deposited or switched out of a PC box at a Pokemon Center. It may take many days and multiple attempts before you find Mirage Island.

     Fly or surf to Pacifidlog Town.

     Enter the house near the bottom-right of the town.

   • 3

     Speak with the old man in the house. You will receive one of two messages. If you can find Mirage Island with your current Pokemon set, he will say "Oh! Oh my! I can see Mirage Island today!" If not, he will say "I can&'t see Mirage Island today..."

     Switch out the Pokemon in your party at the Pacifidlog Pokemon Center with different Pokemon and continue talking to the old man until he tells you he can see Mirage Island.

     Surf east to Route 130 to find Mirage Island.
