How to Play GBA Games on PC

For as long as computers have existed, computer users have tried to get their machines to do things that they were never designed to do. Playing a Game Boy Advance game on a computer would ordinarily be impossible because the two systems are so wildly different. However, thanks to a special type of program called an "emulator," it is possible to play downloaded GBA games on your computer. These downloaded games are called "ROMs."

Archiving program (WinZip, WinRAR, etc.)

Instructions

  Download and install a Game Boy Advance emulator. A download link for some of the more popular emulators has been provided for you in the Resources section.

  Locate and download the GBA ROM you wish to play. If you are unsure of where the game might be located, several download sites have been provided for you in the Resources section.

  Extract the emulator files from the ROM you downloaded into a suitable folder.

  Launch the GBA emulator.

  Click the "File" menu button and select "Open."

  Browse to and select the GBA ROM file you downloaded. Click the "OK" button, and the GBA ROM will launch in the emulator window.
