How to Get an Egg in Pokemon Yellow Version

Pokemon Yellow is a follow-up version to the original games, Pokemon Red and Blue. The main difference in Yellow is that an animated Pikachu follows your character around the game. While there are no actual eggs in Pokemon Yellow, there are egg-like fossils that you can evolve into Pokemon. Depending on whether you pick the Dome or the Helix fossil, you will have a new Omanyte or Kabuto. Give Old Amber along with the fossil to the scientists on Cinnabar Island, and they will bring an Omanyte or a Kabuto to life.

Instructions

  Locate the two fossils at the end of Mt. Moon. Choose the Helix fossil to spawn Omanyte later in the game, or the Dome fossil for Kabuto.

  Walk behind the museum in Pewter City to grab the Old Amber. This is what you will need to give to the scientists, along with the fossil, to create your new Pokemon.

  Walk over to the laboratory once you arrive on Cinnabar Island. Here, you will find scientists doing research on fossils. Give them the fossil you chose and the Old Amber to resurrect the Pokemon. You will need to wait and come back at a later time, once they have finished the conversion.

  Make sure you have room in your PC Pokemon Box or in your party, when you check back with the scientists to pick up your Kabuto or Omanyte.
