How to Get All the Shiny Pokemon in the Ruby Version

In addition to becoming the Pokemon champion, "Pokemon Ruby" offers many side quests, such as catching every Pokemon, obtaining every TM or having as many shiny Pokemons as possible. The last side quest is a popular one because encountering shiny Pokemons is completely dependent upon luck. The probability of an encounter is 1 in 8,192. Because there are nearly 400 Pokemons available to catch in Ruby and each independent of one another, it equals near impossibility.

  Cooperate with at least one other person on this impossible task. It may take you hours or even days to find the first shiny Pokemon of your choice.

  Trade all shiny Pokemons that you may have in other versions or games to Pokemon Ruby via the link cable at any Pokemon Center. If you have any shiny Pokemon, this greatly reduces your task.

  Focus on one Pokemon of whom you want to have a shiny version, and find its location on the map. Pokemons often reside only in a few small patches of grass at a certain location. Keep walking around the grass, and encounter that Pokemon until you find its shiny counterpart and catch it. Note that it will be a different color and shines in battle.

  Trade with your friends any shiny Pokemon that may have been caught to your Ruby version. It is also wise to ask other players if they are willing to trade shiny Pokemons they may have.
