How to Create a Pokemon City
The important part of creating your own Pokemon city is to make it look like it was designed by Nintendo. To achieve this, use actual Pokemon sprites to form your city. Search the Internet for images from Pokemon gamse. Sprites such as the images for turf, grass, water, trees, and other natural formations will likely be used very often. Copy and paste the sprites you will be using into a Microsoft Paint file.
Determine the number of pixels you wish each tile to be, and resize your sprites. Create your city by copying and pasting from your Paint file rather than from the results of Internet searches.
Determine the layout of your Pokemon city with a rough sketch
Open a separate Microsoft Paint file.
Create a light grid so that each square in the grid is equal to the area of your predetermined tile size.
Copy and paste your city's buildings into this grid. Align them exactly with the grid. Add landmarks such as trees, lakes, mountains and caves. To fill in the empty space in the lakes, use the sprite for water. Fill in the rest of space with turf, grass, or a combination of the two. You can also add people or other sprites.
