How Can You Get Umbreon in Pokemon Fire Red?

The eevee Pokemon evolves into umbreon when it has reached its maximum happiness level at night. Because Pokemon Fire Red version does not have a day and night system, you will not be able to evolve eevee into umbreon in this version of the game. However, you can trade your eevee from the Fire Red version to the Ruby or Sapphire version, which do have a clock system. Once you evolve your eevee into an umbreon in Ruby or Sapphire, you can trade it back to Fire Red to unlock it in your game.

2 Game Boy Advance systems
Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire version

Instructions

  Find eevee in the Pokemon Fire Red version. It is located in the Game Freak's Pokemon Mansion of Celedon City.

  Link your Game Boy Advance with a second Game Boy Advance that has Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire version.

  Trade your eevee to the Ruby or Sapphire version.

  Maximize the eevee̵7;s happiness on the Ruby or Sapphire version. You can do this by making the eevee the first Pokemon in your party and letting it battle and win against Pokemon that are weaker than it is. Don̵7;t let it faint during battle and recover its life with items rather than taking it to the Pokemon Center.

  Gain one level with your eevee at night while eevee̵7;s happiness is maximized. The eevee will evolve into umbreon.

  Trade the umbreon back to the Pokemon Fire Red version to unlock it in the game.
