How to Get Squirtle in Pokemon Yellow Version

Squirtle, along with Bulbasaur and Charmander, was one of the three original starter Pokémon in ̶0;Pokémon Blue Version̶1; and ̶0;Pokémon Red Version.̶1; The games̵7; spin-off, ̶0;Pokémon Yellow Version̶1; starts off slightly differently by giving you a Pikachu in the very beginning. Even though you can̵7;t choose the water-type Squirtle in the beginning, you̵7;ll still be able to get one eventually.

Instructions

  Go to Vermilion City, located south of Cerulean City

  Defeat Lieutenant Surge, the gym leader of Vermilion City Gym. Surge uses the electric-type Raichu, so use a rock-type Pokémon to beat him. Claim the Thunder Badge after you win.

  Exit the gym and find the police officer in the middle of the city. Press ̶0;A̶1; to talk to her and she̵7;ll be so impressed by your Thunder Badge that she̵7;ll give you a level 10 Squirtle (note that must have a free space in your party to receive the Squirtle).
