How to Get Bulbasaur in Pokémon Yellow Version

In Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, you can choose Bulbasaur as your starter Pokémon. Pokémon Yellow, however, adheres more closely to the plot of the Pokémon television show. You'll get Pikachu as a starter Pokémon without any choice in the matter. Fortunately, you'll still have a chance to obtain Bulbasaur later in the game.

Instructions

      Head to Cerulean City. It will be the first town you reach after exiting Mt. Moon.

      Go to the Pokémon Center in the center of town. Deposit a Pokémon to ensure you have a free space in your party.

      Enter the house directly to the left of the Pokémon Center.

    • 4

      Walk to the girl at the table and press "A" to talk to her. She will make a comment about how well you take care of Pokémon and give you the Bulbasaur.
