How to Get Deoxys in Pokemon Fire Red

Deoxys is a secret Pokemon that first appears in the third generation games of the Pokemon series, including Pokemon: Fire Red. You can catch Deoxys on Birth Island, which is only accessible if you have an Aurora Ticket (see Tips for information about this ticket). Deoxys comes in four different forms, depending on the game. Pokemon: Fire Red has the attack form of Deoxys, which has higher attack stats, but lower defense stats than the other versions.

  Talk to a sailor at any port city in Pokemon: Fire Red. He will be easy to spot because he will be next to a boat. You must have the Aurora Ticket in your inventory.

  Select ̶0;Birth Island̶1; from the list of locations. He will take you to a small, triangular island. You will see a small black triangle on the island.

  Examine the small triangle. This will start a puzzle and it will teleport the small triangle to another location.

  Examine the triangle again. Walk directly to it with as few steps as possible. You need to get to it quickly or the puzzle will reset. Deoxys will eventually appear once you beat the puzzle.

  Examine Deoxys to start a battle. He will be level 30, so this should not be a difficult fight.

  Damage Deoxys until his health is low. Try to get it around or below 10%. Be careful not to accidentally kill him.
- 7
  Use a Pokeball on Deoxys to capture him.
