How to Duplicate Items in Pokemon Crystal Version

A glitch in Pokemon Crystal allows you to duplicate your Pokemon while placing them into the in-game PC storage. If you equip a Pokemon with an item, whatever item that Pokemon is carrying will also be duplicated. This glitch can duplicate up to five Pokemon and items at a time. Use this glitch at your own risk--improper use can corrupt your saved data.

Instructions

    • 1

      Go to a Pokecenter with a Pokemon storage PC and save your game.

      Give the item that you want to duplicate to a Pokemon in your party.

      Put that Pokemon into an empty storage box on the PC.

    • 4

      Switch to a different box on the PC and the game will save.

      Turn off the game when the message ̶0;Saving the game̷0;̶1; appears on the screen.

    • 6

      Turn the game back on. You should have a copy of the Pokemon and the item it was carrying in your party, and one still in the PC storage.
