How to Open the 7th Gym on Pokemon Fire Red

In Pokémon FireRed, you have to battle eight gym leaders to earn badges; with all eight badges you̵7;ll gain access to the Pokémon League, in which you can battle the elite four in the ultimate showdown. You̵7;ll find the seventh gym on Cinnabar Island. Blaine, a user of fire-type Pokémon, is its leader. You̵7;ll earn the Volcano Badge if you beat him, but first you̵7;ll have to open the gym since it̵7;s initially locked when you arrive on the island.

Instructions

  Enter the Old Mansion (the large building in the upper left corner of the island).

  Go straight and head up the first staircase.

  Go to the upper left corner of the room and take another staircase up.

  Go toward the statue on the right and press ̶0;A̶1; to uncover a secret switch, then press ̶0;A̶1; to flip the switch to open doors in the mansion.

  Head south and jump off the balcony at the bottom of the room to land in the room housing the secret key. Like all items, it̵7;s shaped like a Poké Ball. Press ̶0;A̶1; to pick it up.

  Finish exploring the mansion for more items and the chance to battle trainers or simply exit and head straight for the gym. Press ̶0;A̶1; in front of the gym door to unlock it and proceed inside to challenge Blaine.
