How to Get to the 3rd Element in Zelda: Minish Cap

Nintendo̵7;s 2005 Game Boy Advance video game, The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, has protagonist Link embarking on a quest once again to save the Princess Zelda. However, this time she has been turned to stone by a sorcerer called Vaati. The game involves traversing dungeons based on different elements: earth, fire, water and wind. When Link defeats a dungeon he receives an element and can use all four to upgrade his sword into the more powerful Four Sword. The third element, Water, must be retrieved in the Temple of Droplets.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Lake Hylia using the Ocarina of Wind. Look for the circle with a hole in it. Shrink down to enter and you̵7;ve arrived at the Temple of Droplets.

    • 2

Explore the dungeon, collecting treasure and defeating enemies as you go.

    • 3

Fight the dungeon boss, a giant creature called Big Octo. Big Octo will begin the battle by spitting out rocks. Use the sword to volley his stones back at him. It takes three effective hits to move on to the next stage of the battle.

    • 4

Dodge Big Octo as he begins spinning around as much as you can and use the Flame Lantern to burn his tail.

    • 5

Continue the cycle of volleying and burning two more times to defeat him.

    • 6

Collect the Water Element and Heart Container to complete the dungeon.
