Things You'll Need
Instructions
Take off the battery cover by sliding it downwards from the unit and remove the battery to reveal five screws that hold the case together. Use the tri-wing screwdriver to remove the screws and take off the back case.
Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove the three mainboard screws and lift the mainboard up to reveal the ribbon that connects the screen to the mainboard. Gently remove the ribbon.
Remove the rubber placements that are over the screws on the screen and use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove those screws. Flip the LCD screen over and remove the small Phillips screw on the hinge cover. The LCD screen can now be removed from the old shell casing.
Squeeze one of the clips together by pressing a small flat-head screwdriver between the clip and the shell. Apply pressure on the pin and it should pop out. Repeat with the other clip and pin.
Install the new shell to the unit and pins in the same fashion they were removed.
Insert the screen back into the case and replace the ribbon connector. Tighten the hinge screw. Replace all screws to secure the mainboard to the shell and then insert the tri-wing screws to hold the case together and tighten them.
Put the battery back into your unit and power up.
