Completing Levels
Once you start playing the game, you'll notice how its very similar to the original Ms. Pacman game. However, for the Game Boy Advance version, there are many more levels. The game comprises four worlds, and each world contains 13 levels. The first world you must play in is the Egyptian Temple. After you beat the first world, you can advance to the other worlds, which are the Ice Caves, the City and the Haunted Castle.
To beat each level, you must complete four goals. You earn a star every time you complete a goal, and once you get all four stars, you'll receive 100 percent on the level. For example, one goal is to chomp all of the dots, and another goal is to eat all of the fruit. The best strategy is to try to complete all four goals at once. Another way to be successful is to eat all of the dots and get the highest score the first time you play the level, and the get the quickest time and eat all the fruit the second time you play.
Maze Tips
All of the mazes in the game through which you must guide Ms. Pacman include a variety of hidden areas that can advance you in the game or earn you bonus points. There are wall switches, movable blocks, a pressure pad on the floor, blocks that explode, and doors that require a number of points you must earn in order to enter through them.
For example, when you're in the haunted castle, there are several doors that you must unlock by finding keys hidden throughout the maze. However, some doors contain nothing but ghosts inside. If a ghost comes out after you've unlocked a door, you should hurry to the nearest heart to refill Ms. Pacman's health, as the ghosts can quickly drain your health.
It's always best to have as many points and as much health as possible so that you don't die from these features in the mazes. When you see a block that explodes, move Ms. Pacman quickly away from the explosion and you'll be safe from any damage.
Hazards to Avoid
Besides the hidden features in the mazes that could harm Ms. Pacman, there also is a large number of villains in each level for which you must watch out. In each world, there are steam vents that quickly hurt your health if you don't get away from them. Some of vents may stream at particular times, so make sure to cross them quickly when you see no steam. Some villains like dragons may shoot fire at you, but you can counteract such attacks by collecting the invisibility item. Press the select button and then find the item to use. It's best to use such items until the end of a world when you come across the most difficult villains.
