How to Get Squirtle in Pokemon Red

Squirtle is one of the three starter pokemon in "Pokemon Red/Blue." Its evolution, Blastoise, is a well-rounded pokemon, with very good defense and decent offense. Blastoise also has a good move pool allowing it to play a variety of roles in any team.

Instructions

  1. Getting Squirtle

    • 1

      Start a new game in "Pokemon Red."

    • 2

      Walk downstairs. Your character's mom will tell you that Professor Oak is looking for you.

      Search the town for Professor Oak. You find out that he is not currently in the town.

      Go north and you'll run into Professor Oak. He'll ask you to come back to his lab.

    • 5

      Choose Squirtle from among the three pokemon offered. The other two are Charmander and Bulbasaur.
